End to end UX of Printer Setup
When faced with a multitude of stakeholders, we created a video to elucidate the merits and advantages of a specific design solution, demonstrating why it stands as the optimal path forward.

Designing a printer from product design - hardware to software, there are many stakeholders. To design the next gen printer end to end experience, we had to showcase the intent of simplicity and quick and easy setup process. Since every design team from packaging to setup and onboarding team, various workflow teams, hardware product design team, engineers, product management and more are working in their silos, it was imperative to bring the whole design experience together and see how it works and where it needs improvement.

Within a span of two weeks, we successfully crafted a comprehensive end-to-end video, assembling a proficient team encompassing a scriptwriter, videographer, set designer, actors, editors, voice-over artists, sound experts, and a production crew. When we demonstrate how a design solution positively influences a user, enhancing their product experience and simplifying their life, we elevate the desirability of our product in the market. This, in turn, leads to heightened demand and increased company profits. Such a scenario precisely resonates with the key objectives of various stakeholders, spanning across marketing, design, engineering, finance, and business realms. In just 15 days, we efficiently executed the entire process, encompassing storyboarding, storyline refinement, set design, actor recruitment, videography, meticulous editing, iterative reviews, incorporation of voice-over, and necessary modifications. The culmination was a presentation enriched with compelling special effects to share the UX design we had been working on for more than a year in the field of setup & onboarding of a printer. The creation of this video was a pivotal intermediary step in gaining approval from various stakeholders for the UX design efforts aimed at enhancing the configuration and initial setup process for a range of printers.
As a leader who wanted share the North Star of the OOBE(Out of the Box Experience), my team was tasked with the delivery of the video for communication of design solutions for Setup and onboarding.
I worked with the global design team in shaping the narrative and storyboarding.
I built a team of 6 designers with multiple skills in video making. I guided them on narration, and direction during the shooting and coached them editing style needed for this video.
I coached the designers on overseeing the voice-over, managing sound effects, and typography, and ensuring the overall standard of design quality.
Additionally, my responsibilities encompassed conducting thorough reviews of the video to effectively convey the intended message. The final videos were used as an internal tool for explaining the North Star vision of UX for various Printer product portfolios.
